Work Hard, Play Harder
Miami University Women’s Rugby Football Club (MUWRFC) was founded in 1998 and remains a competitive force as part of Miami University Club Sports. We compete in the Ohio Valley Women’s Southwest DII Division in the fall (August – early November), and participate in tournaments in the spring.
A closely knit team on and off the field, we strive to maintain a tradition of excellence both in sport and academics. Our players have experience in a variety of sports, and major in everything from biochemistry to history. No experience is required to start playing rugby with MUWRFC, so come out and join us at practice! The team gathers off the field for many events as well, so you’ll be able to get it on team movie nights, spaghetti dinners, community service, study parties, and much more.
MUWRFC practices two days weekly from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the fall semester. In the spring we practice Mondays 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Chestnut Fields and Wednesdays 9:30 - 11:00 at the DISK indoor field behind Yager. You can find us at the Fields on 73, past the horse stables, in the fall.
